The original home was selected from the Weyerhaeuser Modular-Built Homes catalog shown at the left.  Colonial 172 came to life in 1954 and remained largely unchanged until the current project was begun in December of 2011 and completed in June of 2012.  The picture below shows the home as it appeared in June of 2011 during the planning phase of the project.

Progress during the winter of 2011/12 shows the shell of the addition complete and the original structure ready for house wrap and new siding.

Early spring 2012 and the exterior is nearly complete.  Cedar shingles, azek trim, andersen windows, copper flashing details and a 30 year architectural roof were selected for a classic look and low maintenance.

June 2012 and the project is complete - except for the landscaping!

Some added features of the exterior construction are:

  • Underground electric, phone and cable

  • Natural gas installed

  • 6" framing used throughout the addition

  • Eaves and rakes extended on the house as well as the garage

  • Garage doors replaced

  • Complete drainage system with drywells
